Hiking in Juncal Rencontra Mountain 

It is located at 20 Km from Baracoa city in the  Biosphere Cuchillas del Toa Area. It has 

 9 km of longitude and a duration of 6 hours. During the trip the guide is going to explain about the natural values and historical-cultural of the area. There you will observe a representation of the campestral landscape of Baracoa. Crossing for Juncal community with the presence of typical farmer’s house, surrounding of some medicinal herbs and some feedings such as:coffee, banana,zapote, abocado and paya. Further on you will be inside to the forest where you will go up through Cuchillas del Toa, here you will see different species of flora as for example Cagüairán, Najesí, Caoba y  Majagua. Related to the fauna there is going to be a high chance to see the most beautiful sanails living all over the world and many kind of birds susch as cuban tody, cuban trogon, green Wood pecker and many other can be watched.Once in the half way of the path  you will enjoy of one of the most complete views of Baracoa region, so that it is giong to make it worthty.At this point we will strt to go dawn where you will see different kind of soil formations. It will show us a variety sort of forest. There you will arrive to the house of a farmer named Justina. She is going to prepare us a delicious creole lunch.To finish she is goig to make us a coffee.After one hour of rest we will continue walking to Duava river, place where you will have a refreshing and healthy swimming time in a natural pool.Then we will go back to the accomodation.
